We cannot end hunger if we are not present in the communities, building relationships with the community inspires us to be responsible in doing our business.
This is the real meaning of the NTU’s long term goals , which all of us in our organization take seriously. We believe that by sharing hope, we will do well and achieve long-lasting relationships.
NTU Corporate Social Responsibilty’s commitment to sharing with the less fortunate is a philosophy that traces its roots over a decade ago when its owner and CEO first established our business in Baguio City. This legacy of sharing has been instilled and passed on through generations of our corporate history. It was one of its first leaders, Rafael Orpilla, who started corporate philanthropy through donations to various groups and indigent communities, as well as looking after the welfare of his employees.
As NTU diversified into many businesses, its commitment to sharing grew accordingly. After a decade of giving to various worthy causes in an informal manner, and with the increasing magnitude of assistance needed in areas where its companies operate, the management decided to find a more efficient and effective way of giving. Thus in 2014, NTU evolved its community service into the present Corporate Social Responsibility to address the social and economic development needs of marginalized members of society.
Over the past years, we have been committed to our mission of helping people help themselves and pursuing our vision to be the neighbour of choice.
We constantly deliver value to our stakeholders, including communities where there is NTU presence. We focus our CSR efforts on education, nation building employee engagement and community involvement.
Our initiatives have evolved from Philantrophy, to community engagement projects that are more sustainable for our beneficiaries and at the same time aligned to our businesses.
Our vision is to end hunger for 5 Million Kids by 2026
Our mission is to build a society where hope is tangible. By this, we refer to a conscious effort to shift our CSR interventions to corporate social investment, from a charity based organization to community development, With this we can empower our beneficiaries to take part in our work of nation building. We partner with communities to promote inclusive growth through ending hunger of the mind, heart, spirit and stomach.
In partnership with Gawad Kalinga , Noble Trends Unbound launched the Kusina ng Kalinga in the City of Baguio. It has now transitioned into the NTU Foundation Hope Kitchen.
While most people think of call centers as only being good for business, NTU feels that it’s our responsibility to be connected to a poor community.
The main objective of this advocacy-driven fun run is to raise awareness on the current poverty and hunger issues that our country is facing.
The program aims to nourish communities by sharing complete schools kits that help them reach their fullest potential in school.
NTU celebrates its yearly anniversary by mobilizing its entire workforce to come together and work for a common cause.
We have started this academy and expanded our program to the less privileged and yet bright and skilled teenagers in Baguio and Benguet, promoting sportsmanship, discipline and values that are important beyond the court.
The efforts to ending hunger will not be sustainable unless the people we give help to are ready to face the future.
Global effects of climate change opened the eyes of NTU to see the greater need of caring for the environment.
Children growing up in distant and poor communities are deprived of opportunities to fulfill their full potentials, and often turn to vices and violence to survive. NTU is there to fill the gap.
Bayani Challenge is Gawad Kalinga’s effort to fuel the Bayanihan Spirit in thousands upon thousands of barangays across the country. Since 2014, NTU has been sponsoring and supporting the event.
NTU conducts and supports many fund and awareness raising activities to support our many causes for the social development of our fellow Filipinos.
Hopes and dreams are made more visible if the kids are given the opportunity to enjoy life. Away from the hardships of everyday living, special days are given to be celebrated by the indigent kids through NTU-sponsored parties.
