Grassroots Program
Hoops Academy started with teenagers from the Social Development Center for Boys wit the idea to create an opportunity for players ages 13-17 to participate and learn the concepts of Hoops basketball while incorporating formation programs during training.
Beyond Borders
In 2016, Hoops moved beyond its borders by going to far flung areas where kids would walk for an hour just to join the weekly clinic. The program focused on bringing the basics of basketball to the communities in Benguet by helping potential athletes improve their skills and develop their talent by learning basic practice drills and emphasizing the fundamentals.
Unleashing the Power of the Less Privileged
There are a lot of talented kids in public elementary schools in Baguio City but are not privileged enough to join basketball clinics and develop their skills because of the high cost of registration fees. In partnership with Brent International School, Hoops offered free basketball to the top basketball players in public elementary schools.
