Global effects of climate change opened the eyes of NTU to see the greater need of caring for the environment. During community activities, employees take part by helping clean up the barangays and at the same time, implementing proper waste segregation. All recyclable materials are sold and proceeds are used to buy garbage cans and cleaning materials for the Barangay. It promotes creative recycling methods for waste materials after its initial life.

The annual event draws more than 200 employee volunteers dedicated to keeping Barangay Poliwes out of the list of the top 5 most polluted barangays in Baguio City. Agents are involved from cleaning up the canals to segregating the waste.
Volunteers have collected several tons of trash at each clean up. After collecting, NTU makes it a point that all the trash collected, along with used tires and metals, are segregated and sold. All proceeds are used to purchase materials needed to sustain the barangay programs.
PEZA has been an active environmental catalyst of change and NTU makes certain that it participates in its yearly clean up drives. The program ensures that all PEZA locators are involved in taking care of the communities where we operate in.
NTU participated in planting 2,500 indigenous seedlings in hope to sustain more trees that will bring life in the future. These efforts are geared to help ensure consistency and conservation of our watershed and eco-system.
